I Cannot Live Without You.

"I Cannot Live Without You... But Even If You Are Not There, I Must Learn To Stand On My Own!"

This Sunday, Every Husband & Wife Should Read This Once.

Wife: "Dear, Can I ask you something? Please don't take it the wrong way. I want an honest answer"

Husband: "Are you going to ask me another difficult question? Okay, ask!"

Wife: "Our children have settled abroad. We are living here by ourselves. By God's grace we have no shortage of food, clothing or a home. We have each other, and we are spending our lives peacefully. But as the years pass, our age is increasing and our strength is slowly reducing. We cannot stay permanently with our children like before. They too have their jobs, children's education and family responsibilities. They cannot always come and stay with us. That is why I'm worried. If something happens to me, how will you manage alone?

Sometimes these thoughts keep me awake at night.

The husband remained silent for a moment and then said;

Husband:"I have the same fear. But there is one small difference. You are thinking about how you will live if I am not there. I am thinking about how you can7 live if I am not there! I am five years older than you. Nobody knows who will leave this world first. So, today, there is something we need to talk about

Love is not only about depending on each other. It is also about preparing each other to stand strong when one of us is no longer there.

You often tell me. ‘What will I do if you are not there?’ But what I want to ask you is, ‘What will you be able to do if I am not there?

Can you go to the *ATM at the end of our street and withdraw money?

Can you send money through UPI?

Do you know what an * OTP is when it comes to your phone?

Do you know how to use Google Pay, PhonePe or Net Banking?

Can you book a cab during an emergency?

Can you call 108 Ambulance? Do you know where the *Emergency Contacts are saved on my phone?

Can you make a video call to our children?

Can you share your location through WhatsApp? Can you send our home location through Google Maps?

Do you know where my *hospital, doctor and insurance details* are kept?

Do you know where our health insurance card is and how to use it?

Do you know how to book a gas cylinder when it runs out?

Can you pay the electricity bill? Can you recharge your mobile?

Do you know where our *bank accounts* are? Do you know how many deposits we have and when they mature?

Do you know where our important documents — *Aadhaar, PAN, Insurance, Property Papers and Bank Details are safely kept?

We often say that our children are living abroad. But if they need us someday, can we make a video call and clearly explain our situation to them?

These may seem like small things. But during an emergency, these small things can become very important

The wife slowly said: You have told me many times, but I never thought I would need to know all this. You are there, right? I always thought you would take care of everything

The husband smiled. That is our biggest mistake. All our lives, we have depended on each other saying, ‘He is there, she is there'.

But life comes with no guarantee

So, from now on,

You teach me. I'll teach you

You learn UPI. I'll learn some cooking

You learn the banking work. I'll learn some household responsibilities

You learn the Emergency Contacts.. I'll show you where the insurance details are

You learn *online payments. I'll show you where the medicines and medical records are kept.

We should live together. But at the same time, we should be capable of standing strong even if one of us is not there

Tears filled the wife's eyes. "This makes me feel scared". The husband held her hand and said: "There is no need to be afraid. Instead of being afraid of what is beyond our control, it is better to learn what is within our control.

We don't know how many days God has given us.  But we can choose to spend every day with *confidence, courage and by supporting each other.

It is not enough to simply read the *Bhagavad Gita*. We should also practise the courage it teaches us in our lives.

From childhood, we teach our children. Education, jobs, driving, cooking, swimming, technology, money management, everything.

But as we grow older, instead of saying, ‘Why do I need to know these things?’ we should ask ourselves. ‘If I need this tomorrow, can I manage it myself?’

A husband cannot replace a wife. A wife cannot replace a husband. But they can be each other's most beautiful support in life. As long as that support is with us, let us live with love.

At the same time, let us prepare each other so that, if one day one of us is no longer there, the other does not break down but stands strong

Learn technology

Learn digital payments

Understand banking

Know emergency services

Keep important documents organised

Keep important information safely managed

Stay regularly connected with your children

Above all, love and respect each other

Finally, just one thought;

I cannot live without you — that is love

I can still stand even if you are not there — that is understanding life

As long as you are with me, I will stand by you — that is true companionship

Doing our part is in our hands. Protecting us is in His hands

Let this little story remind every husband and wife to pause for a moment. And ask ourselves what we need to learn, prepare and do for each other while we still have each other
